Over 10 million cosmetic surgery procedures are performed each year, and that number continues to rise, fueled by hopes of youth, beauty and perfection.

Meanwhile, new techniques, tools, lasers and procedures bring revolutionary possiblities to the industry each day. With all of these developments, there is one that is changing the future of cosmetic surgery. It is fostering new technology, innovative research, better techniques and safer practices. It is educating doctors to better serve their patients. It is helping patients trust their doctors.

It is the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation

The Cosmetic Surgery Foundation for Education, Research and Patient Safety (CSF) was formed in 2000 to address growing concerns about the rapid growth of the science and its implication on the safety of the patients it is designed to serve. The Foundation represents the interests of practicing cosmetic surgeons including dermatologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, plastic and general surgeons, ophthalmologists, and their patients in the ongoing pursuit of patient safety.
