he weight-loss procedure known as liposuction has been around for years, but recent changes to the way it's performed has made it readily available here in the Four-State Region. Laser Liposuction was given the green light in November of 2006. One year later, it has experienced tremendous growth in popularity. Those looking to shed a few pounds may not have to travel much further than south central Pennsylvania. Many people may have misconceptions about the procedure known as liposuction.
"When you're doing any cosmetic procedure, it's not going to change your personality. It's not going to change your job. It's not going to change your family," said Dr. Ken Rictor, Scotland Family Medicine.
