The LuxDeepIR delivers columns of infrared light, combined with aggressive cooling, to generate islands of coagulated tissue, beginning at 1 mm into the dermis (thus preserving the epidermis and upper dermis), and extending as far as 4 mm into the dermis and fat layer.

This unique Fractional approach, which preserves the integrity of the epidermis and upper dermis, is possible because of the LuxDeepIRÌs extra cooling capacity.

The coagulated areas are replaced with regenerated healthy tissue during the healing process, leading to a tighter, smoother skin appearance. In addition, the regrowth of cells from neighboring stimulated tissue during the healing process provides quicker remodeling.
