MILLENNIUM DENTAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is a manufacturer and distributor of dental products. Millennium's principals are researchers and developers of new technology and applications as well as clinical educators. Millennium is organized and operated under the leadership and direction of laser dentists for the express purpose of advancing the LASER PERIODONTAL THERAPYTM technique.

Dr. Robert Gregg is a former faculty member at UCLA School of Dentistry's Hospital Dentistry Division. An international lecturer, his works on FR Nd:YAG lasers for root canal and soft-tissue therapy and
on practice performance boosting have been published in leading professional journals. He is a co-developer of the Laser Curriculum Guidelines. Dr. Gregg has attainted his Mastership status and is a Certified Dental Laser Educator with the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Dr. Delwin McCarthy is a former faculty member at UCLA School of Dentistry's Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program and a key speaker at domestic and international dental
conferences. An recognized authority in the field, he created the by-laws for the original International Academy of Laser Dentistry, and a is co-developer of the Laser Curriculum Guidelines. Dr. McCarthy has attained his Mastership status and is a Certified Dental Laser Educator with the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

LASER PERIODONTAL THERAPYTM was developed by Robert H. Gregg II, D.D.S. and Delwin K. McCarthy, D.D.S., the founders of Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. These pioneering laser clinicians were fascinated by the possibilities of lasers and dentistry soon after their first introduction. Over many years of laser dentistry and the performance of thousands of procedures, they gained an extraordinary understanding of laser/tissue interaction. Early in their experience, they visualized the potential of the Free Running Pulsed Nd:YAG laser for use in periodontal therapy and developed a "recipe" that would replace the scalpel/suture flap surgery that patients dread. This vision, and more than a decade of research, clinical trials and dedication, resulted in the founding of Millennium Dental Technologies, and the development of the PerioLase? II, the most significant achievement in soft tissue dental lasers since their inception and LASER PERIODONTAL THERAPYTM, the first patented periodontal procedure.

Achievements:

1989: Dr. Robert Gregg and Dr. Delwin McCarthy began their research into dental lasers and in four years had a prototype for what would eventually become the PerioLase? dental laser.

1994: Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. was formed to market the PerioLase?.

1997: LASER PERIODONTAL THERAPYTM, the breakthrough procedure created by Dr. Gregg and Dr. McCarthy, became the first periodontal treatment ever to be granted a patent.

2001: Millennium Dental Technologies receives clearance from the Food and Drug Administration to market the PerioLase? MVP-7 as a device for laser curettage (removal of inflamed, diseased soft tissue in the periodontal pocket) and enamel caries removal.
