How does Laser Collagen Regeneration Work?
Wrinkles are the result of the breakdown of collagen fibers inside the
middle layers of the skin. The Smoothbeam laser interacts within the skin
to stimulate the regeneration of collagen fibers and leaves the skin looking
more smooth and firm.

Will my wrinkles go away?
A series of quick treatments will help improve the overall tone and texture
of the skin. It will help to significantly smooth out lines but typically
does not remove them completely. Laser Collagen Regeneration is not a
permanent treatment. Since skin is continually aging and new wrinkles
continually developing, maintenance treatments are required to keep your
results.

What kind of results can I expect?
The majority of our patients achieve fantastic results within the first
couple of treatments. The appearances of fine lines are noticeably reduced
and the firmness of their skin is enhanced. The degree of results achieved
depends upon the responsiveness of the skin being treated. A small
percentage of clients may have very little results or may have results on
one area but not in another. It is impossible to tell the specific results
each individual will achieve until two treatments are completed.

How long will my results last?
Results last between from 3 to 12 months depending on your skin's response
to the laser energy. For the most lasting results, we recommend an initial
series of 4 to 6 treatments performed 3 weeks apart. You can maintain your
results with a treatment every 3 months thereafter.

What are the side effects?
The most common side effect is temporary redness. In some rare incidences
clients may have mild blisters that lasts a couple of days. Our laser
specialists will review all the details of the potential risks before your
first treatment.

How does Collagen Regeneration compare to Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion creates a mild abrasion to the surface of the skin that
sloughs off the superficial, older skin layers to reveal newer, younger
skin. Microdermabrasion can improve the overall appearance of the skin and
actually compliments collagen regeneration treatments. Collagen
regeneration targets the collagen structure underneath the surface of the
skin and repairs it from the inside out.

What is the cost of treatment?
Each session is $200.

Will Collagen Regeneration help active acne or acne scars?
Yes! The Smoothbeam is FDA approved for the improvement of active acne. We also have patients who suffer from acne scars and have had very successful results with laser treatments.

Does the laser hurt?
The laser treatment is a quick series of laser bursts that feel similar to a
small rubber band snapping against the skin. There is a slight sting that
quickly dissipates. Most patients tolerate the discomfort without any type of anesthetic. We also have a topical numbing cream available for those with more sensitive skin. Test spots will be done so you can evaluate it for yourself.
