No wrinkles, no painful side effects, it sounds too good to be true, but in this case, doctors say it is. It's a new medical breakthrough being performed in Florida.
Pam Bolling is a nationally known dancer, choreographer, and producer. While most of her time is now spent behind the cameras, she still does some on-air work and wants to keep looking great as long as possible. "I'm hitting my mid thirties and I'm in entertainment so I've got a lot of lines and expressions from being onstage for so many years."
That's where Dr. David Poole comes in. He's been treating Pam's face with peel treatments for some time. Now, he has a new tool to take away those unwanted wrinkles. It's called N-Lite, the first FDA approved laser treatment for wrinkle reduction. Unlike other products, it's virtually painless. Dr. Poole says, "This is the first laser that is a non-ablatrive laser, meaning it does not remove the outer layer of the skin so it doesn't create a raw surface it doesn't injure the skin, so to speak."
This new tissue does not cause scar tissue to fill in the wrinkle. Instead, it slightly stimulates blood vessels which produce collagen, your own natural collagen and that fills in the wrinkle. It took just a few minutes. Dr. Poole, who's already had the procedure himself, to treat Pam's crows feet and smile wrinkles. It will take 90 days to see the final results, and both doctor and patient can't wait.
As far as cost goes, prices range from $450 for one site on the face to just over $1,000 for the whole face. That compares to a minimum of several thousand dollars for other procedures.
